About Knox : Knox Parents' Association : KPA Prep Social Committee
The Knox Parents Association Prep Social Committee (KPAPSC) welcomes all parents and caregivers to the Knox Preparatory School. The committee forms part of the Knox Parents Association and our key objective is friendship raising. Each year, as a result of a number of our activities, there are financial donations that are able to made to the KPA which are then used to purchase items that will enhance the education and experiences of the boys at the school. Historically the majority of roles on the executive committee are held by parents of boys in Year 6 and many of the functions that take place are specific to making that final year at the Prep something extra special.
All parents and caregivers are members of the KPAPSC and a meeting is held once every term. The meetings often welcome guest speakers and Term III coincides with the popular Literary Day. The Year Convenors and all Event Convenors come under the umbrella of the KPAPSC and there is a strong support role in galvanising the willing volunteers of the Prep School into fun, social teams to help out at the key events in the Knox calendar such as Gala Day, Garden Day and Inter-House Sports Days.
Below are the events and roles that come under the KPAPSC for 2009. Included with this list are the names of those people who are taking the lead for this year. If you would like to help out in any of these activities, we would love to see you!
