About Knox : Community Relations

The Community Relations Office is responsible for helping to build, maintain and enhance relationships between the School and its community, including through support of the Old Knox Grammarians' Association and the Knox Parents' Association. The office has a wide range of responsibilities within the School including media relations, school promotions, website, advertising and public relations programs and for community relations within the School's local area and community. Activities undertaken by Community Relations include:

• The weekly Knoxonian during term time is published each Wednesday (but not the last week of each term) as an online newspaper at www.news.knox.nsw.edu.au  The site allows users to view and print the entire edition or customise their own version featuring only artlicles of interest. The weekly Prepside covers the Prep School.
• The Thistle, the school magazine is produced three times a year
• The Headmaster's Report, is produced once at the end of each year
• Advertising the School to prospective parents
• Organising community luncheons and dinners and other outreach activities
• Organising the boarder support program and other boarder liaison
• Liaison with the Knox Parents' Association and other parent bodies and many other functions within the public relations and friend-raising areas of the School
• Development and maintenance of the Knox website
• Organisation of major events
