At Knox Prep, we play sport because we believe it teaches boys many enduring lessons in life.  Sport plays a significant part in the life of Knox boys and their involvement in competitive sports begins in Year 3 and remains an integral part of their lives throughout Senior School.  Through playing sport boys learn about teamwork, working together and the need to follow rules when playing the game.  They learn from abiding by the decisions of the referee, committing to a team, winning and losing. They also learn from celebrating success and supporting team mates in difficulty. The Knox school spirit is enhanced through the playing of sport, as is the range of friendships made by boys.

The School sporting programs, including House carnivals and Inter-School competitions, provide further opportunities for growth and development.  An extensive outdoor education program is offered at various levels for all Prep boys, providing additional beneficial experiences for everyone.
