Music offers boys and people of all age's opportunities for personal expression, enjoyment, creative action, imagination, emotional response, aesthetic pleasure and the creation of shared meanings.  It is our aim that boys:

• Should enjoy learning a musical instrument
• Are given every opportunity to develop the skill of playing
• Develop a positive attitude toward music
• Learn set musical skills as set by the AMEB syllabus or the Suzuki program
• Are provided with the opportunity to extend their skills in Ensembles and through performance.

At Knox Prep, Music is readily available and accessible to all boys with the program split into three areas:

• Class 
• Instrumental 
• Choral
